Cypress College, founded in 1966, enrolls more than 14,000 students of diverse backgrounds each semester at its campus in Cypress. The college is just a few miles from Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm amusement park in Southern California, and minutes away from the Pacific Ocean.

Students have the opportunity to select from a variety of courses and programs to meet their educational goals, whether they are working toward associate of arts or associate of science degrees, or an occupational certificate. The college, most well-known for its nursing programs and mortuary science program, offers 58 bachelor degree programs and 141 career-certificate programs in specific occupational areas. The college offers day and evening classes.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the wide range of student support services available: counseling, tutoring, financial aid, health services, and study skill classes, to name a few. Students may also participate in special interest clubs, athletics, fine arts productions and student government activities.
