Los Angeles Mission College
Los Angeles Mission College (LAMC), in Sylmar, opened its doors to students in 1975. The Los Angeles Community College District is the largest community college district in the United States serving more than 250,000 students annually at nine colleges, spread throughout 36 cities in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.
Enrollment has expanded to include many of the communities in the San Fernando Valley, as well as Canyon Country and Santa Clarita.
LAMC provides vocational education and training in which students may receive certificates in child development, family and consumer studies, paralegal, and computer applications.
