Ventura College, founded in 1925, is approximately 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara in Ventura. The 112-acre campus has an enrollment of more than 14,500 students.

Ventura College was originally at the current site of Cabrillo Middle School. The building was destroyed by fire in 1951. The college moved to its current location on Telegraph Road in 1955.

The college received $112 million dollars from a taxpayer approved bonds that has resulted in new buildings and new infrastructure across the campus.

The college offers courses for students seeking an associate’s degree, certificate or license for job placement and advancement; curricula for students planning to transfer and training programs to meet worker and employee needs. The college is a leader in providing instruction and support for students with disabilities.
