Sierra College, founded in 1936, is in Rocklin and in the heart of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Its also about 30 minutes from the state capitol in Sacramento.
The college is part of the Sierra Community College District, a district that covers over 3,200 square miles in Placer, Nevada and parts of El Dorado and Sacramento counties. In addition to the 300-acre Rocklin campus, the district has a 115-acre Nevada County campus in Grass Valley, a new campus in Truckee and a campus in Roseville.
The college is ranked first in Northern California in transfers to the University of California and California State University systems.
Sierra College’s outstanding academic reputation, excellent technologies and training programs and updated facilities has led to increases in student enrollment. Projections of future enrollment top 25,000 students.
