California Community Colleges Interim Chancellor Erik E. Skinner’s Statement on Gov. Jerry

Brown Signing the State Budget

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – California Community Colleges Interim Chancellor Erik E. Skinner issued the following statement on Gov. Jerry Brown signing the 2016-17 state budget:
“There’s a lot for California community colleges and students to like about the budget signed by Gov. Brown today. The budget provides slots for 50,000 additional students at our colleges, which are now open for enrollment. It also provides resources to expand and improve the delivery of career technical education programs, leading students to good paying jobs that support families and communities. And there are resources to continue to improve transfer to four-year institutions and help close achievement gaps at our colleges.”
