Major improvements in the California Community Colleges’ online education effort to be introduced Monday

Who: California Community Colleges Chancellor Brice W. Harris; Pat James, executive director of the California Community Colleges Online Education Initiative; Steve Klein, program director, California Community Colleges Online Education Initiative.

What: A teleconference briefing on the newly redesigned California Virtual Campus website, a virtual catalog of more than 19,000 online courses and programs in California higher education. New features make it easier for students to find online courses they need to earn certificates, degrees or transfer to four-year institutions as well as provide moderated support for students. Participants will also provide an update on the system’s comprehensive Online Education Initiative.
