Chancellor Brice W. Harris, State Sen. Marty Block to Hold Media Availability Today Following Board of Governors Consideration of Bachelor’s Degree Programs

Who: State Chancellor Brice W. Harris, Senator Marty Block (D-San Diego), Board of Governors President Geoffrey Baum, San Diego Community College District Chancellor Constance M. Carroll.

What: Media availability following the California Community Colleges Board of Governors consideration of recommendations for up to 15 community college districts to begin offering the baccalaureate degree. Block was the author of SB 850, successful legislation which allowed community colleges to begin offering the bachelor’s degree. Chancellor Carroll has been a system champion of the change.
