Who/What: Members of the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and Chancellor Brice W. Harris will participate in a town hall meeting to discuss 25 recommendations developed by a task force aimed at improving the delivery of workforce education in the system’s 113 community colleges. The Task Force on Workforce, Job Creation and a Strong Economy was formed to address California’s anticipated shortage of 1 million skilled workers over the next decade. The panel’s recommendations will be presented at the event sponsored by SEIU-- United Healthcare Workers West and the Bay Area Council, and media will have opportunities for one-on-one interviews with key leaders in this effort.
