Manuel Baca

Manuel Baca is a professor of government at Rio Hondo College where he was named a fellow and served on the Academic Senate Executive Committee. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Southern California. Baca is a member and past president of the governing board of Mt. San Antonio Community College District. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at CSU, Fullerton where he also served, and was named one of its 50 successful ("Querer es Poder") alumni. In 2005, he was a member of the California Community Colleges System Strategic Plan Steering Committee where he helped develop the System Strategic Plan for California. Baca served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam, and is active in his community and throughout the state.
